Unfiltered Audio's Tails has made its debut on iOS, as both a standalone app and AUv3 plugin.

In collaboration with electronic music luminary BT, Tails presents itself as a highly sophisticated reverb tool on the market.

Tails employs an innovative double-buffered technology, allowing the creation of two distinct reverbs running in parallel. This unique feature includes automatic threshold swapping functionality, enabling seamless transitions between the two reverbs in response to significant changes in amplitude or tone. Moreover, Tails offers automatic ducking capabilities on inputs and outputs to preserve the clarity of your reverb. The inclusion of auto-ducking on attacks helps in reducing metallic noise from percussive hits within your reverbs. Alternatively, it facilitates keeping passing tones and dissonant notes out of your melodic echoes, ensuring a harmonious reverb output.

Even setting aside its groundbreaking ducking and swapping functions, Tails stands out as an exceptionally versatile reverb tool. Drawing from two revered Unfiltered Audio BYOME reverb algorithms (Renoun and Deep), it features a Spatial mode inspired by Silo and a new Shimmer mode meticulously crafted to BT's specifications. Reflecting Unfiltered Audio's signature style, a global Sample Rate knob influences the sampling rate of the entire DSP algorithm, offering users the capability to extend their reverb tails into crispy lo-fi realms.

Tails is designed for live performances. Users can swiftly assign their MIDI keyboard's Pitch and Mod wheels to key parameters, while Note messages allow manual control over ducking or muting the reverb.

As an AUv3 plugin, Tails has been extensively tested for seamless integration with various platforms including Garageband, AUM, Cubasis, Beatmaker, Nanostudio, apeMatrix, Loopy Pro, and more. Its intuitive interface and responsive resizing make Tails compatible with tablets and smartphones.

(Note for Drambo users: Drambo does not currently offer automatic Plugin Delay Compensation for plugins with latency. Consequently, tracks using Tails may not align correctly with other tracks. An upcoming patch for Drambo will address this issue.)
